Ozashiki Car(Na Ro 801/802)

Special passenger carriage with tatami mats.
Very popular during the event season.

Japanese style passenger carriages were popular in early Showa period. These carriages have been reproduced based on the ones built in mid 1960s by Seibu Railway. Tatami mats are placed inside them.

Na Ro 801 started running in January 1980, followed by Na Ro 802 in December1985. They also run during the event season.

A passenger train with a twist.

This Observation Car was also built to add more fun on the Steam Locomotive rides There is a viewing deck on one end of the carriage which has sofas - just like the first class passenger carriages in the JNR days. Operation started in October 1982. There is also a private room for four.
